Commissions
There is something deeply personal about a painting made just for you. A place that shaped you, a garden you return to every summer, a bouquet of flowers from the most important day of your life. A commission is an invitation to bring that into your home in a way that is entirely your own and painted with the same expressive energy and love of color that runs through everything I make.
I take on a small number of commissions each year, and I would love to hear what you have in mind.
How It Work
Step 1 — Let's talk We begin with a conversation. We will discuss what you would like me to capture, any photo references you want to share, your preferred size, and the color palette you have in mind for the space. This is where the painting begins to take shape, and I want to make sure it feels right before brush meets canvas.
Step 2 — Deposit & begin Once we have agreed on the details, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your place and begin the work. This holds your spot in my schedule and allows me to source any materials specific to your piece.
Step 3 — Work in progress As the painting develops I will share rough sketches so you can see it coming to life. This is your opportunity to share any notes or reactions. One round of tweaks is included in every commission to make sure the final piece feels exactly right.
Step 4 — Final reveal & delivery Once the painting is complete I will share the finished work with you before it ships. The remaining balance is due at this stage, prior to delivery.
Commissions are typically completed within 4-weeks. If you would like the piece framed, please allow an additional two weeks for framing. Shipping takes approximately two weeks, and local delivery is available throughout the New York tri-state area.

What makes a beautiful commission
The most meaningful commissions begin with a story. Perhaps it is a coastline you have loved since childhood, a favorite bloom that fills your garden every spring, or a landscape that holds a particular memory. Many clients come to me with a special place they want to remember; a beach, a field, a view from a window that mattered. Others arrive with a photograph of a flower arrangement, a mood, or simply a color palette they want to live with.
One of my favorite commissions to paint is a wedding bouquet portrait. There is something so alive and fleeting about a wedding bouquet, and capturing it in paint makes it endure in the most beautiful way. It is a treasured and unique gift to give a newly wed couple.
